Rosa Parks just didn’t decide to stand up for her rights on day by refusing to move to the back of a bus which sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott thereby setting off the whole black civil rights movement. That’s not the way it happened. She had been thrown off the bus before by that same bus driver. He knew he’d thrown her off the bus before and he knew that this time when she refused to go to the back of the bus, she would not be moved. So that’s why he called the police.
Rosa Parks had training before that fatefuly day. She had also been serving as secretary for her local NAACP chapter.
